Water, sandstone outcrops, a forested landscape, and the sound of birdsong are just a few of the elements that make this place truly special. Our fully restored barn building offers a unique and welcoming setting for your wedding guests and other celebrations.
 
The Guest House

The guest house has been created by fully reconstructing the historic barn-kiln building, one of the original buildings within the Vaive Mill complex.

The building was officially commissioned on 16 November 2018, on the eve of Latvia’s centenary.

It has two floors. On the ground floor, there is a spacious guest hall, toilets, and a kitchen. On the upper floor, guests will find comfortable guest rooms, showers, and a toilet.

The guest house is equipped with all essential utilities, is heated, and is available throughout the year.

To ensure a quieter atmosphere in the rooms and to make the most efficient use of the indoor space, access to the second floor is provided via external metal stairs.

The building also features façade lighting, which switches on automatically at dusk.

The area in front of the building is ideal for celebrations. Historically, there was a boat pier between the lake and the building, and today this space has been transformed into a levelled lawn area of approximately 200 m2, perfect for outdoor gatherings.

For celebrations, activities, and special events, guests can enjoy the entire Vaive Mill surrounding area, including a terrace of more than 200 m2. Photos of the surroundings can be found in the About Us section of our website.

An asphalt road leads all the way to Vaive Mill, ensuring convenient access.

The Guest Hall

The guest hall can accommodate up to 70 guests.

The hall area is 122.4 m2, with a ceiling height of 2.9 metres.

Lighting in the hall is provided by 6 dimmable LED lights with remote control.

The entire ground floor, including the guest hall, is fitted with underfloor heating. The flooring is finished with vinyl tiles.

Accommodation

There are 8 guest rooms on the second floor.
 

In total, the guest house offers 22 sleeping places.
 
The rooms are furnished with high-quality beds made in Latvia:
 

All mattresses are 2 metres long, and each bed is also equipped with a mattress topper for additional comfort.

Additional mattresses for floor sleeping are available, allowing up to 10 extra sleeping places to be arranged in the rooms if needed.

The rooms have been designed with care to preserve the building’s historic masonry and wooden beams. They feature roof windows, parquet flooring, and radiators for heating. Guests are provided with satin bed linen and towels.

There are also 2 separate showers and a toilet on the second floor.

Wireless internet is also available upstairs.

Additional Summer Accommodation

In 2020, an attic floor was built in the Mill building, another part of the Vaive Mill complex. During the summer months, this space offers an additional 20 sleeping places.
